Getting to know each other: symposium 1

Idea: to explore and account for research on persuasive media and communication taking place across the University.

Supporting purposes:

1.     to better understand the nature of MPC work taking place at the University.

2.     to better understand disciplinary perspectives.

3.     to ascertain interest in maintaining a network operating under the auspice of MPC.

4.     to explore the potential for collaboration in regard to research (empirical, theoretical and practice-based) and enterprise.


Format: as the idea for this symposium is get together and obtain a sense of scholarship and research taking place across the University in relation to persuasion, media and communication, speakers will be restricted to 10 minutes to briefly outline:
1. disciplinary perspective; 2. your own research. While this is a short amount of time, we are keen to leave time for discussion.

What we need from you: please send an outline of up to 200 words to smpcnetwork@gmail.com by Wednesday 7th March. This should indicate and outline your School, disciplinary perspective and topic(s) of research.
